Warming Frogs
There do seem to be a lot of mushy minds on the planet.
There is no doubt the planet is warming, who do you belive?
a) The politicians and politically based organisations who say it is C02 causing global warming. Even though some of the people sited in the reports have spoken out against being on the list attesting to this conclusion.b) Scientists and universities who say it is the sun causing the warming effect. Showing that carbon increases lag warming periods.
In England the River Thames froze so solid they could trade on it. In even earlier times vinyards were common place. Climate changes not due to human activity!
So why worry?
Plants need carbon dioxide, we need plants. Reduce carbon dioxide and you starve the planet. Eventually a major part of the planet's carbon would end up underground. Some people even want to bury carbon! Think middle east, think desert above ground, carbon trapped in oil and gas below ground. You only have to look at geology and the quantity of oil, coal and gas deposits below ground. Extraction is effectively recycling carbon that would otherwise remain trapped, maybe for thousands perhaps millions of years."In the last ice age, for example, the atmosphere experienced very low levels of carbon dioxide, and no one is completely sure why," she said. "However, we now understand the Southern Ocean plays a large role in regulating how much of the gas gets dissolved in water, and how much remains in the atmosphere."
Global atmospheric carbon level may depend primarily on Southern Oceanby Chad Boutin ยท Posted June 22, 2006; 04:20 p.m.
Potential for a new ice age?
We are still in the last ice age, it's not over yet and we are in a warm interglacial period. Carbon levels in the atmosphere have been reported to be significantly low. If the planet is iced up there is less land for plants to grow! Ice reflects solar energy, plants and the ground on which they grow absorb solar energy. There is no reason why we should not all be energy efficient as this allows other nations to use fuels and have a better standard of living. There is no reason to not use renewables and to an extent bio fuels.
Who benefits?
Remember restricting carbon supply, is a bit like putting a candle in a jar. Try it, if you gradually reduce the air supply the candle flame glows weaker. This is because the amount of oxygen available is less.- Companies that offer agriculture, solutions to food shortages.
- The organisations who collect the carbon tax.
- Companies who's carbon based products are now sold at a premium.
- People who have stocks and interests in such companies.
- Those with interests and motives for promoting nuclear.
Which is more dangerous?
Remember the main cause of global warming according to some very intellegent people is THE SUN. So which is more dangerous?a) Fossil fuels, which emit carbon dioxide, a component of plants which we need to eat to survive. Plants sustain life.
b) Nuclear, which emit radiation, toxic to all life on the planet, that means everyone, even people with lots of money.
Which would you have prefered to live near?
a) Chernobyl.b) Texas City refinery.
Waste and pollution
Nuclear waste is toxic for tens of thousands of years. Even the worst oil contamination and pollution will not last that long. This article is not funded or intended to promote fossil fuels, and perhaps we should ask why there has been no obvious outcry from interests in this sector over the carbon tax?Carbon from fossil fuels, just think about it!
The carbon locked up in fossil fuels was once above ground upon planet earth. It was part of the carbon based life forms which exist upon earth. It was once in the atmosphere.Links
