Intrigue in and around a quiet village. The church is suffering from subsidence, and a
series of misunderstandings brings a group of environmentalists into conflict with some
more conservative elements within the community. As if that is not enough the Vicar's
right hand lady appears to be acting very strangely. However the two ladies monitoring
village happenings have things under observation, they know exactly what is going on. The
lucky couple that win a cruise on a luxury yacht around the Med, are drawn into the fray.
Their little Morris Minor becoming something of a friend to an old Frenchman. The old boy
network is somewhat over strained and not all the police are what they seem. Entwined in
this stew of characters is the IT guy, in a race against time to discover just who or
what is behind the turmoil.
With ever increasing urbanisation of the southern counties we should all be aware of the
consequences of washing the car once too often. With his wit and insight the author shows
us how a small change can have massive ramifications. Interwoven with international
intrigue, the plot takes us on a journey through the lives of people in a rural
community. With many misunderstandings, misadventures and some very colourful characters
we are whisked along as the tide comes in. A tide that is both funny and sad, there are
moments when you are not sure just who to believe.
