A murder mystery set around a farm. In the heart of the countryside, people are
mysteriously being bumped off. How would you react if your family disappeared from
natural and unnatural causes? Taking in a lodger seems like a good idea, but is it? There
is a lot of relief when the police finally catch the murderer. Or have they? One woman is
not so sure and a series of scary events leads her to seek help from others. A very rough
talking builder assists with her defence of the farm. There are some very weird people
about, and some rather interesting offers being made. The farmer and his wife who have
been very supportive, withdraw their help. Who made the footprint? Will she be next on
someone's hit list?
This a story of one woman's determination to survive. Many of the things she does may not evoke compassion from the reader. Some may find her antics reprehensible and will reel in disgust at one of her acquaintances exceptional use of expletives. This is no fairy tale, no smooth ride, no easy answers, or convenient clues to those who murder her mother.
